Our Story
From a Court in Acapulco to a Hoodie in Hackney
It started on a sun-drenched holiday in Sicily. Founder James Grew tried padel for the first time on a worn-out court behind an old hotel. Five minutes in, he was hooked. The rhythm. The rallies. The sheer joy of the game.
But when he searched for padel clothing that reflected how the sport made him feel—playful, precise, stylish—he came up empty. Everything felt too generic, too tennis, too technical. So he decided to build something of his own.
The Birth of Corcuera Padel Club
Back home in the UK, James began sketching ideas and researching the origins of padel. He found himself drawn to the story of Enrique Corcuera, who built the first padel court in his backyard in Acapulco, Mexico, in 1969. That backyard court sparked a movement—first in Spain, then Argentina, and now across the world.
James wanted to honour that heritage with every collection. So he named the brand after the man who started it all: Corcuera.

Each of our four core collections is inspired by a different part of the journey:

All garments are made from 100% organic cotton, and manufactured in facilities powered by renewable energy. We include QR-enabled recycling tags in every item, so when your kit’s worn out, you can send it back and keep the loop circular.
